CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Human Resource Generalist

Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. FANUC America is currently searching for a Human Resource Generalist. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to expand their HR knowledge in a fast paced, dynamic environment focusing on employment and general HR support. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Supports employment activities for the organization, coordinates HR employee programs and provides administrative support to the HR team
- Provides response to HR customers as first point of contact.
- Support Senior Human Resources Representative to coordinate employment activities for the organization including:
- Approve candidates for contract positions
- Assemble recruiting folders and new hire folders
- Job posting, screening, interviewing
- Org chart maintenance
- New hire training registration and monitoring of completion
- Coordinate FAC participation at college recruitment activities
- Coordinates the HIRE program
- Facilitates orientation and other new hire processes
- Coordinate employee programs including:
- Planning and execution of employee events including the summer anniversary parties and the holiday open house.
- Annual United Way Campaign
- Coordinate discount programs, investigate new opportunities, maintain HR website information
- Administer the Service Award Program
- General organization support including:
- Review business card orders and coordinate printing and delivery
- Support offsite storage requests to send or retrieve records
- Review, approve and track safety shoe reimbursement requests
- Maintain HR records
- Performs special, unique or unusual assignments as required.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of increasingly responsible work experience in the Human Resources area, including recruitment and employment.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Must be able to handle very sensitive information in a highly confidential manner
- Experience with and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and database applications required.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks with efficiency
