We are currently searching for a dynamic, Product Security Lead to provide leadership and act as lead product security professional for FANUC America products including Robots, FA (CNC), and Robomachine (Robodrill, Roboshot) products. 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Help manage and be responsible for all aspects of cybersecurity for FANUC America supported products (working with development managers)
  • Drive event response to reported issues, process adherence to necessary security standards (ex. IEC 62433), customer and external entity communications, as well working with IT and other groups on pre/post product testing specific to product security
  • Act as representative to Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) for products in FANUC America
  • Support the receipt, triage, and public reporting of security vulnerabilities for all FANUC products in the America’s
  • Coordinate vulnerability information with product and executing groups, development engineers, legal counsel, sales, marketing communications, etc., to drive issues to resolution
  • Act as the main point-of-contact for FANUC America to external researchers, government agencies, vendors, and customers on security related findings, questions, customer questionnaires and coordinated disclosures
  • Develop and publish primary security advisories for customers in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including FANUC Corporation in Japan
  • Actively engage product development managers to drive resolution of open cases to a defined schedule and communicate schedules within other areas within FANUC America and as needed FANUC Corporation
  • Assist leading internal cybersecurity communication and planning for FANUC America developed and supported products (embedded, PC/External, Cloud)
  • Manage overall IEC-62443 certification and compliance activities both internally and with FANUC Corporation while keeping in conjunction with Corporate Compliance group
  • Support conformance to key security requirements for major customers on a contractual basis working with development teams and executing groups
  • Define and support execution of appropriate IT / internal and external cybersecurity testing processes for pre/post-release product testing activities working with existing product teams

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3 years minimum experience with enterprise level or embedded software engineering experience with focus on embedded development or security standards and process standards (IEC, ISO, ISA)
  • Experience in relevant cybersecurity standards and requirements, including Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as defined by ISO/IEC 15288, ISO/IEC 12207, IEC 62433 standards, or equivalent NIST, Microsoft, etc. standards
  • Demonstrated capability in computer and/or robot programming
