The Robot Technician Support Specialist will provide expert technical support for the usage, deployment, and troubleshooting of FANUC IoT products.  This position requires expert knowledge of one or more of FANUC’s product lines, in addition to IT networking knowledge to support the usage of FANUC IoT products.  The role provides technical support, sales support, and product championing to internal and external customers.  Moreover, the role requires training internal and external customers on FANUC IoT products, and best practices for their use.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Teach internal and external customers how to deploy and use FANUC IoT products
  • Communicate with new customers to establish expectations for FANUC IoT products
  • Develop and support best practices for using and deploying FANUC IoT products
  • Apply problem-solving and critical thinking to troubleshoot connected equipment
  • Support internal and external customers by troubleshooting IoT product issues
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical people
  • Document at a high-level best practices, technical information, and solutions
  • Participation in product improvement groups
  • Provide formal/informal teaching and instruction
  • Administrative paperwork and reports as required
  • Occasional Travel up to 10% of the time

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Associates degree or diploma in Robotics/Automated Systems Technology Preferred, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience in customer support or a customer-facing role preferred
  • Knowledge of computer networking
  • Knowledge of FANUC Robot operation and programming
  • Ability to quickly learn and support FANUC products and software
  • Strong knowledge of PC networking including subnetting, routing, client/server applications
  • Customer service skills such as being polite, listening, professional and friendly
  • Ambitious individual who can work closely with customers
  • Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC hardware and software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
