The Technical Specialist (Paint Division Segment) will be responsible for providing technical support to a variety of internal groups, including Sales Engineers, FANUC Corporation, FANUC Corporation Subsidiaries, and customers to assist with demonstrations and proposals.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Create and maintain all robot and controller BOMs ordered for Paintshop, including creating the BOM for released product configurations and completing final BOM review by validating that BOMs are accurate.
- Provide direct support to Planning and Operations for questions and issues regarding inventory paint components.
- Consolidate internal FANUC America production schedule feedback for Paint Division (PSH/ACP).
- Complete project tracking for production schedule.
- Create and track FOM (forecast for controllers and robots to FANUC) and EGF (forecast for domestic materials for paint robots and rails to operations).
- Participate in reviews with Sales for data forecasting for the Master Sales Forecast (MSF).
- Create the engineering group forecast grid.
- Provide Special Price Request (SPR) calculations (and other requested documentation) for Finance (SFR, FEC, etc.)
- Provide Special Price Request (SPR) to FANUC (controllers, servo motors, etc.), which includes creating documentation for Finance and item and BOM to order as SPR to FANUC.
- Place orders to FANUC for paint controller, motors, and dispense robots.
- Track controller/robot ordering and inventory.
- Analyze inventory and cost reduction initiatives for the Paint Division.
- Review all paint and dispense Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) prior to release.
- Create and maintain configuration sheets per robot model and customer, run costs and update quarterly for subsidiaries.
- Work with Research & Development Engineers (R&D) to update Product Deliverables List (PDL) as necessary.
- Update the ERP system (EBS) processes for new product releases as required.
- Support sales by conducting manufacturing tours when required.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Associate Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain/Inventory Management related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum two years of experience working with ERP systems.
- Proven experience within automation and manufacturing environments with knowledge of or interface with Operations, Purchasing, and Manufacturing related to inventory control.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Proven computer skills including MS Office.
- Project management skills
