We are currently searching for a dynamic, Human Resources Manager – Compensation & Benefits.
The Compensation & Benefits Manager reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and administering a comprehensive total rewards strategy, compensation, and benefit programs to attract and retain talent. This position will research and bring in-depth understanding of external best-practices and innovative trends to apply them to Total Rewards programs and technologies at FANUC America.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Plan, design, implement and administer a comprehensive rewards strategy.
- Strategically assesses the effectiveness of current programs in achieving organizational objectives; identifies best practices and benchmarks; and develops recommendations for modifications to align to HR strategy and business goals.
- Manages all compensation planning processes in collaboration with HR and Operations.
- Evaluates the compensation landscape to understand and learn from best practices through benchmarking and industry research and employment trends, track legislation and make recommendations.
- Responsible for the compensation structure, merit and bonus processes.
- Manages the US and Canadian payroll functions.
- Effectively plans and directs the implementation and administration of all benefit plans including annual open enrollment efforts.
- Responsible for retirement programs and fringe benefit offerings
- Effectively manages and collaborates with vendors and external partners, including managing performance of contracts to ensure maximum value of services is delivered.
- Partners with HR leadership and peers on appropriate total reward packages to recruit and retain talent.
- Responsible for all ACA reporting and keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting benefit plans and ensures company benefit plans and practices are in compliance with external regulatory requirements.
- Develops and coordinates communications designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards.
- Assists with annual budget for total rewards and manage expenditures related to benefit programs.
- Develops and implements new and/or existing rewards programs, policies and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective.
- Determines and implements metrics that assess and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing Total Rewards programs and new initiatives.
- Reviews, manages, and amends all retirement plan benefits to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Manages Leave of Absence process including Workers Compensation
- Communicates actively with other departments to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
- Manages data in accordance with the company’s record retention policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues, records and company information.
- Serve as the EEO and HIPPA Officer.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in compensation, payroll, and benefits, with proven experience leading / managing a team of professionals preferred
- Experience working within different HR tools and systems (HRIS) that include payroll, time and attendance, benefit administration, etc.
- Experience implementing new tools and systems is preferred
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
- Advance knowledge of various benefit programs including medical, dental, 401(k), defined benefit pension, flexible spending accounts, life insurance and disability programs
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory, compliance and legislative imperatives and impacts related to total rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through processes, identify and implement process improvements and resolve complex matters.
- Possess proven operational, interpersonal, project management, vendor management and leadership skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
